From the Costa da Morte to the Eume woods: pine and oak woods under the Atlantic rain, with mushrooms almost all year round. In A Coruña we watch 356 zones one by one, with the forest, the rain and the soil of each. Today it is mostly the saffron milk caps (7 zones) that are stirring.

Here the land runs from sea level up to 720 m, and half of it lies below 274 m. What covers most ground: maritime pine (28%), grassland (26%) and pedunculate oak (17%). And not all at the same height: the saffron milk caps (164–467 m), the charbonniers (136–474 m), the chanterelles (138–474 m) and the yellowfoot (293–567 m).

Ancient woods, chestnut groves and oak woods between the mountains and the sea: the wettest province in the north-west, with the longest season. Lugo adds up to 434 zones on the map, each with its own fifteen-day forecast. What is stirring most today: the saffron milk caps (1 zone).

The ground runs from sea level up to 1,406 m, with half of it below 541 m. By area, it is shared out like this: grassland (34%), pedunculate oak (19%) and maritime pine (18%). Chestnut groves, oak woods and pine forests of inland Galicia, where the September rains bring the season forward. We follow 322 zones of about five kilometres in Ourense, each with its own forecast for the next fifteen days. Today it is above all the porcini (5 zones) waking up.
