Mushroom hunting in Álava

From the hills around Vitoria to the Rioja Alavesa: beech, Portuguese oak and holm oak woods between the Atlantic and Mediterranean climates. We follow 144 zones of about five kilometres in Álava, each with its own forecast for the next fifteen days. The forest of Álava is still waiting. When its moment comes, it will be mostly the bronze boletes, the Caesar's mushrooms and the chanterelles.

Which mushrooms are out now in Guipúzcoa

The beech woods of Aralar and Aizkorri, generous rain and a love of mushrooms that fills the hills and the gastronomic societies in autumn. Mushroom season in Vizcaya

Pine woods, the beech forests of Gorbea and the tradition of the perretxiko, which fills the markets in spring. Vizcaya adds up to 102 zones on the map, each with its own fifteen-day forecast. For now, nothing is stirring in Vizcaya. Its most widespread mushrooms are the Caesar's mushrooms, the chanterelles and the black trumpets.
